The book is here!

The former Nebraska Ordnance Plant, located southeast of Mead, had a tremendous impact on Saunders County. We are happy to announce that former Museum Assistant Jennifer Garza and Curator Erin Hauser have written a book on the history of the plant and its influence on the history of Saunders County.

"The Nebraska Ordnance Plant" was published by Arcadia Publishing and will be available starting July 29. It will be available in the museum gift shop.

Watch for more details on a special event related to the book! Plans are in progress and information coming soon!!!

We also have a former NOP display in the main museum and several pieces of equipment used at the plant in our machinery building. Stop by and interact with a part of our county’s history that helped to impact the world!
